Thank you for posting this information. I myself ws informed by a letter sent to me. But I know lots of people don't open their mail up anymore.

I really hope the members get it right this time. I remember the whole thing from last year. And I know all the nominees from last time. Now, I am wondering if all three are going to run again.

I would hope that VP Tagart has a shred of decency left in his body and does the right thing. If he was being true to himself and to our father up above, he would resign from the position and put his support behind Jim Roland, the person who missed it by 10 votes last year, probably entirely due to Tagart campaigning in county offices while he was being paid mileage and hourly wages by the San Diego APWU. That breaks Federal election laws, my union brothers and sisters.

Now, Gwen Wills is a good person, a God-fearing woman to be sure. But heaven help me for having to say this. She isn't capable to follow a grievance thru from start to finish. She is good at talking to people with problems. But she does not really go any further than that. You talk to people and you will see how many she let down. We all know other people been doing her job when she was Clerk Director, and probably that few months she was vp for Rick Cornelius.

I like Gwen alot. She is sweet, and her kids are nice too, but oh my God, if I was really in trouble, the only steward I would trust to get me out of a pickle is Jim Roland, out of those three people.

To anonymous @7:09 p.m. and everyone else,

You summed it up pretty accurately about Tagart & Wills. At this time, with my senority I don't have to worry much about having to be excessed to god knows where, but there are many other things that's also happening that will probably affect all of us in one way or another. When the crap hits the fan, and it's already starting to, I want the best possible Union Leaders looking out for my best interests.

Tagart doesn't have the knowledge or the skills to do it, and of course his credibility can't be any lower due to the dishonest things he did during the last election.

Poor Gwen, she certainly is a good and loyal union member but like you said, she can't follow up on grievances and other things that are important to the members. I wish I had a dollar for every time I've heard another member say, I called Gwen about my problem but she never called me back; or, Gwen will tell them, I'll file a grievance for you and it just never happens.

Roland is the guy I would want to deal with for any problems that come up. With him you have someone who has much more experience and knowledge than the other two put together. He's honest and respected and will help us all through the bad times ahead.

I don't know about the rest of you but this is the time to put the best person we have in the VP position. It should be none other than Jim Roland

I was going to leave a comment concerning the excessing outside of the installation/craft of the 60 plus employees in the san diego area. it was going to state how thankful I was that mr. wood was now representing our local instead of mr. cornilius. our affected members are going to have a tough enuff time of it without a bumbling barney fife at the helm adding to confusion and frustration in such complex and myriad unknowns that are involved in this process. now hearing that mr. roland may be able to serve in an offical capacity again (he has never quit serving by the way) I would have even more confidence in our union protecting both those whom are now being affected by the excessing and those whom will be impacted shortly afterward. my thanks also goes out to those unknown and unnamed support stewards that are currently involved in herculean efforts trying to make sure that everyone impacted is being treated faily and kept up to speed during what must be a very emotional and nerve wracking experience.

I think it is good to have the election again, to make this right.

It scares me to think what would happen if Rick would have got re elected again. All this illegal election stuff Will tagart did would have been swept under the rug, like the other really bad stuff Rick and Will did.

And who knows what would be happening now with the excessing and other problems.

Can you imagine if those MOM people would have got in there? Our bank account would have already been empty, and Rick would still be taking over the meetings with all those people who by the way, haven't been at a meeting since Rick was booted out.

I bet you the only reason Tagart still comes to meetings is because he has his cushy sit down job gets to take all the sick leave he want whenever he wants no question asked, and probably just stays for the food that we get.

I am wondering who Rick Cornelius is going to vote for. Oh Yeah, he got out from the Union. But he can still be campaigning for his choice candidate. You know mr MOM don't like Jim, and he likes Gwen just a little and needed her to speak for him sometimes. I guess a stutter is better than Blogo-speak. But I wonder, is he still Will Tagart's biggest fan and spokesman?

I wonder also, is Will tagart still going to Rick for strategy and planning sessions at restaurants all over town like last time?

And isn't it good Will tagart doesn't still have the ability to help himself to the Union bank account, like he did when Mr MOM was president.

I wish we could get Will out and let Jim take his rightful position. Gwen is a shop steward now, and I think that is probably the right level of responsibility she should have, beings that she really don't do too much but give lip service.

Well, I just got my information concerning the invalid election for our Local's vice president. I had hoped that after our last election everything could be put back in place and life go forward getting things put back in place. I see that I was very wrong.

Instead, Mr. William Tagart took it upon himself to use Union time to run for the our Local's office of Vice President. He took "OUR" Locals money during that time getting paid to represent craft employees. Then, he goes ahead and campaigns for office while out there at the stations. The only reason he was at the stations in the first place was for the craft employees benefit.

Now, Mr. Tagart is going to be wasting more of "OUR" Local's money because of lack of concern and his blatant disregard of the rules. Why do I say this? Do any of you think that National is going to pay for this vice president election? Hell NO.... It will come out of your pocket from the dues we have paid to our Local. Not out of National's or Tagarts pocket.

So why does not Mr Tagart step down and do the "manly" thing of owning up to his mistake and not run for this office. Instead, he is staying in the office hoping that no one will say or do anything to rock his boat.

Well, I do not know if I can get an answer from him. But, here our Locals' Union phone number below:

(619) 283-5600

Let all of us call Tom Wood and William Tagart and ask them questions about "Why?" and "How much?" this farce is going to cost us as a Union.

Here is something I found on Yahoo.. showing visually how our postal rates look over the years.

I feel bad about this election stuff too. But in politics, there are people who don't care about the tax payers and how much they have to spend on things.

Look at our National Rick cornelius (Obama) and his handpicked con men and fools (Geithner, the dude who doesn't pay his taxes, now in charge of the country's financial future.

When Obama was asked at his townhall meeting the other day what he thought about all his nominees who are tax evaders, he effectively sidestepped the issue by talked ONLY about the people who withdrew their nominations when the truth was exposed on them.

He hoped the fools in Elkhart Indiana, and the TV audiance, would somehow forget that he went ahead and kept the tax evader in charge of finances.

And when the tax evader unveiled his "plan" yesterday, it was so vague, unprepared, and evasive, the the stock market plummeted again. Does Obama care about that? Nope.

So its politics. Do you think Tagart cares that his actions are going to cost us? Nope. Does he think he even did anything wrong? Nope. Does he believe that the people, like the sheep that are following our National Messiah off the cliff, will have the brains to actually see the facts, understand the truth, and vote to correct this wrong?

I think Tagart believes the members are fools. I think they are a little smarter than that, after all our local went through with Rick and WIll for three years.

We won't be fooled again.

While the election process has been violated, I'm sure that all of the candidates were also violators!
But, nuff said. The membership needs to take a good look at the candidates.
Gwen Wills has been there for ever, but has a problem of being to keep up with all of her "projects and family". She dosen't follow through with the problems at hand once they get cold.
Jim Roland....Nice guy, but he QUIT! Now he wants to come back! Why? He no longer is up with the times of what is going on at the Post office! He is up to date with one T-3 steward! Only cares about the "Plant"!
Will Tagart....Hard worker, a bit stubborn sometimes, but is willing to work with all the members, through out the city! HAs proven that he is right about many of the issues one of the candidates said were fruitless!
You the member have to make the choice....make it the right one!
