I am now looking into something I just heard about the other day. Maybe one of you fine upstanding individuals know more than myself and can correct me if I am wrong. I heard that Bertolina is going to be leaving us and going up around the San Fransisco area. That Jim Land will be taking his place for sometime till his replacement is here. Can anyone confirm or deny this rumor for me?

sorry, have no idea about either of these two persons. have just vaguely hear about bertolina. have no idea who land is. what would be the significance of this rumor becoming fact? would it become a good or bad thing for us, were it to take place.
bertolina is a mailhandler made good and a ass hole when dealing with people!
jim land would be a great choice for plant manager he was taught by wilson.
and this would keep sweet in the pac area.

thanks for the line-up explanation. if I've been keeping up with this blog, it sounds like a bitter(pun intended)sweet scenario.
Well, after talking to different individuals in maintenance I find that many think if Charles Sweet is going to be away on his detail longer to take Jim Land's spot. They wonder why Sweet still keeps his office in Maintenance and continues to do his own work as the Maintenance Manager. Does he not trust or feel that Lee Miller is competent or feel that Maintenance can continue without his heavy handed guidance?
Sweet has a bigger head and ego than anybody even Obamma. So he will keep his heavy hand and Big nose stuck into everything.
I'm glad about Jim he a good choice. But bitter Sweet will never let go.
The Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace,
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy;
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Well everyone get ready for the screwing!
Starting Saturday June 6, 2009 no more clocking in five minutes early!
All those cases on the work floor with time card holders will be activated with your time cards.
This is a Dallas Keck idea straight from Oregon.
I tried to let people know even though he lost an arbitration in Oregon he would still implement the NO MORE CLOCKING in five minutes early here in San Diego!!!
So remember starting June 6, 09 the cases will not be opened until your begin tour time!!!
And oh by the way you will be required to clock out where you clocked in and walk across the floor to exit the building.
NO more waiting by the exit door to clock, that has already started!

I believe the reasons that Tom Wilson is gone are precisely because of the way he managed the plant. (If you know where he went and what his new assignment was, you will realize that it was not a promotion.) I hope everyone has learned a lot from his mistakes. I find work conditions to be about 1000% better under the management of Mr. Bertolina. I would be happy to have Mr. Bertolina continue here indefinitely.

you are mistaken in your statement:
"I believe the reasons that Tom Wilson is gone are precisely because of the way he managed the plant. (If you know where he went and what his new assignment was, you will realize that it was not a promotion.)"
Mr Wilson was very sick and voluntary gave up his position and was given the title of coach! He was already at the top of the PECS pay scale for a plant manager. The post office carried him until he voluntary retired. The plant was never in a better position while he was in charge!
mr average employee is just that!
An average postal employee, to compare the two men is like comparing communism to Democracy you really can't! Tom managed people in a more humane way, Johnny is a hachet man!
Two different styles for two different times. Neither would have done well if the roles were reversed!
if you like johnnys style better
than good for you "Comrad average employee"
