I'm against the $85,000,000, 000.00 bailout of AIG.
Instead, I'm in favor of giving $85,000,000, 000 to America in a We Deserve It Dividend.
To make the math simple, let's assume there are 200,000,000 bonafide U.S. Citizens 18+.
Our population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every man, woman and child. So 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and up..
So divide 200 million adults 18+ into $85 billon that equals $425,000.00.
My plan is to give $425,0 00 to every person 18+ as a We Deserve It Dividend.
Of course, it would NOT be tax free.
So let's assume a tax rate of 30%.
Every individual 18+ has to pay $127,500.00 in taxes.
That sends $25,500,000, 000 right back to Uncle Sam.
But it means that every adult 18+ has $297,500.00 in their pocket.
A husband and wife has $595,000 .00.
What would you do with $297,500.00 to $595,000.00 in your family?
Pay off your mortgage - housing crisis solved.
Repay college loans - what a great boost to new grads
Put away money for college - it'll be there
Save in a bank - create money to loan to entrepreneurs.
Buy a new car - create jobs
Invest in the market - capital drives growth
Pay for your parent's medical insurance - health care improves
Enable Deadbeat Dads to come clean - or else
Remember this is for every adult U S Citizen 18+ including the folks who lost their jobs at Lehman Brothers and every other company that is cutting back. And of course, for those serving in our Armed Forces.
If we're going to re-distribute wealth le t's really do it...instead of trickling out a puny $1000.00 ( "vote buy" ) economic incentive that is being proposed by one of our candidates for President.
If we're going to do an $85 billion bailout, let's bail out every adult U S Citizen 18+!
As for AIG - liquidate it.
Sell off its parts.
Let American General go back to being American General.
Sell off the real estate.
Let the private sector bargain hunters cut it up and clean it up.
Here's my rationale. We deserve it and AIG doesn't.
Sure it's a crazy idea that can "never work."
But can you imagine the Coast-To-Coast Block Party!

And remember, The Family plan only really costs $59.5 Billion because $25.5 Billion is returned instantly in taxes to Uncle Sam.

How do you like the recovery bill that is up for vote now?
There are all sorts of strange earmarks in it, like wooden arrows for some school, and money for rum runners in puerto rico. All sorts of weird-ass crap hidden in it, payoffs i guess to the people who wouldn't have voted for it otherwise.
What a crooked bunch we got up there.
And to think that McCain warned about this 3 years ago, was booed off the floor by the democrats.
And to think that Barack Obama was part of the real estate scheme, and that he took some of the freddy/fannie bigwigs who made 90 million dollars off this scheme and made them part of his advisory committee.
If there is anyone out ther ewho dosn't want you to follow the money, its mr. Obama.
And that crook is gonna be our next president.

I for one am looking forward to the excitement of the stock market crash and resulting depression.
It will be interesting to see the mindless dumbed down masses trying to figure out how to enjoy themselves without taking a car ride, plane trip, or spend money at a mall. It will be interesting to watch the chubby, fat, obese, and elephant-sized americans as they start to slim down, because they can't afford their luxury foods, wines, beers, candies, sodas, snack, etc, and have to make their meager paychecks stretch by eating rice, beans, and veggies from their gardens.
Already seen it happen once, and it really seperated the men from the boys, the tough from the wimps. This country is full of whiney spineless softies who have no idea how to change the oil in their cars, mow their own lawns, or even in a lot of cases, make a penny pinching nutritious supper for their family from scratch.
Yep, its going to be interesting to watch the Darwin theory unfold in our weakened population.

Writing as the mother of 1 grown and 2 younger children, I have seen some pretty sorry excuses for incorrigible behavior, but I haven't witnessed many as morally repugnant as those offered by Barack Obama concerning his decades-long, close association with Jeremiah Wright.
Some may argue (and have) that Obama could have stayed in this church, in spite of Wright's perverted slant on Christianity, because of the wealth of friends in his church community. This might be true if the contentious beliefs were of fringe importance or would not do harm to one's children, but this was not the case with Trinity and Jeremiah Wright. No man, and certainly no father, would expose his impressionable children to beliefs with which that man so fundamentally disagreed. the way he use God's name and his hate Americain stand. At least no man with a well-formed conscience and integrity.
Would I take my children to a church where someone like David Duke was passing himself off as a minister of Christianity? Would you?
Every church has a community of believers and a whole lot of charitable outreach going on. One need not compromise his basic morals, nor his intelligence, to find one.

Our country will cease to exist as we know it, beginning January 20 2009.
Get ready for:
Zero population growth among the natives, forcing the US to restock the country with teaming masses from 3rd world countries. They bring with them their 3rd world ideas, hep A B and C, Heartworms, AIDS, TB, Malaria, and a myriad of other diseases that are not yet anchored here, but will be within 40 years.
This shift in population will bring with it a shift in political views, from people coming from dictatorships, socialist and rogue countries.
Taxes willhave to go up in order to support all the new Americans who are not up to speed, as is with every first generation of immigrant here.
Govornment will soon forbid you from raising your own children, (if you even have any). There will be socialization programs to teach them the government line, you won't be able to discipline them, and they will be able to do medical prcedures of any kind on your minor kids without your knowledge or consent. Its already started, with abortions on minors, soon it will be tattoos (numbers on arms from another era)piercings, sterilizations, amputations, you name it, whatever the kid wants, whatever he or she is convinced is the style or cool thing to do, whether its tattooing his face or putting their fetus through a Waring Blender.
You won't be able to say a thing, because the govornmnet soon will have no checks and balances, and we already see that elections can be skewed.
Look at Wall Street, the fanny freddy stuff, etc and you will see what happens when a bully govornment group pushes back against checks and balances. Nocchecks and balances, No one to have to answer to, and a dumbed down, extremely stupid public not paying attention caused this. And its just beginning.
Its so sad to see us losing everything, from our retirement incomes, to our identities. And if anyone dares speak up, they are called racist,homophobes, whatever. So shut up, bend over and take a deep breath. Its going to hurt.
